Goldthorpe Town Centre provides a unique shopping experience with a real sense of community. Whether your visit is to purchase a little something for the home, something fabulous for a night out or to relax with a coffee and a cake and watch the world go by, we have something for everyone.
We enjoyed a productive morning refurbishing one of Goldthorpe's street planters today. Seven volunteers were involved, starting at 9 am on the 'Railway View' feature that was severely neglected and overgrown. In total, 20 hrs of volunteer time was given. We would like to thank the residents, shopkeepers, and landlords whom did a brilliant job.
Thanks also to Cafe Bijou for the teas etc, much appreciated. It demonstrates what can be done when people work toghether for the benefit of all.
The feature will then be fully planted with seasonal bedding etc when the time is right.
